Description	With more schools integrating Kitchen Gardens into their curriculum and school grounds, spend a day with Artist Jane Byrne and explore materials and techniques to create achievable magical Garden Art projects. Student’s individual and group Artworks will enhance the school’s outdoor environments and advertise the school’s pride in their students to the community. Jane will help teachers experience a range of mediums and techniques to achieve projects with students. Teachers will discover easy hand building techniques using earthenware and terracotta clay, work with foil, shim, wire and cardboard forms, and work with basic mosaic techniques. Look at successful projects undertaken and completed in a variety of schools.
VIT Standards	Teachers know the content they teach. Teachers use a range of teaching strategies and resources to engage students in effective learning. Teachers create and maintain safe and challenging and learning environments.
