Description	This hands-on, practical studio-based workshop introduces ideas that allow students and teachers to explore the essential relationship between making artworks and appreciating artworks made by artists. It will explore the directly related idea that by making their own artworks students are better able to understand what artists have done; and the reverse, that viewing what artists have done helps students to better make their own artworks. This relationship makes classroom art experiences dynamic, exciting and interesting. Activities and ideas will be introduced that allow teachers to introduce both art making and art appreciation within the studio and to relate both essential aspects of art learning for students of all levels.
