Back to Basics: 3D Construction

Levels

1 - 4

Date

Saturday 3rd March 2012 BOOKED OUT

Time

9:20am – 3:00pm

Description

Explore and experiment with a variety of construction materials to create great masks, unique creatures and interesting environmental features such as trees, volcanoes and relief maps.
Participants will learn, and then use, wire construction skills to build a standing or flying, 3D fantasy bird. These fabulous creatures will come into full form when Modroc is added.
Modroc’s versatility on moulds, and with paper, will also be highlighted during the day.
This workshop will not only present ideas for the artroom but for teachers interested in exploring materials and techniques that will engage their students and challenge them to present their learning in a visually exciting way.
