Description	This is a follow-on to the Introduction to Watercolour day, and is suited to secondary teachers who have some experience of the medium and wish to explore the unique role watercolour can take in a secondary art room. Participants will be using watercolour with a variety of materials to showcase techniques and special effects which are able to be applied to Levels 5 to VCE. There will be a focus on watercolour in mixed media artworks, such as pen-and-wash, watercolour pencils and adding colour to prints. During this workshop participants will explore and experiment with Special Effects Tool-kit, masking fluid, gum arabic, resist, salt, sponges, gladwrap, card, sticks, pens, crayons, spray bottle etc. These materials will be used to make an artist’s book, or sampler display. Helen will also give the participants an opportunity to work with mixed media, pen and wash, watercolour pencils and show how to colour a print.
