Description	This one day introduction to watercolour is ideal for secondary teachers with limited or no experience of the medium and for those wanting to refresh their skills. Content covered will include a hands-on exploration of materials and techniques. From washes, to colour mixing, to wet-in-wet and tricks and tips, participants will be guided through step-by-step projects which may be applied to art room experiences for levels 5 through to VCE. This workshop will explore basic materials and the process of “getting started”; setting up and stretching paper. You will explore the medium, experiment with brush strokes and different papers. Foundation techniques using, washes, graduated washes, sequencing layers (tonal and colour build up), wet-in-wet, dry-on-dry, sgraffito will be explored.
