Easy Mother's Day Activities

Materials
Cardboard Tubes, Poly Egg 60 mm, Rainbow Wire, Wool Tops, Permanent Pen, Paint, Supertac, Pre-printed Paper, Joggle Eyes with Lashes

How to make Mum Doll

1. Cover a Cardboard Tube in a pre-printed paper e.g. Retro Pop Paper, Pattern Paper, Global Village Paper etc.

2. Paint a Poly Ball in a flesh colour and set aside to dry.

3. Glue on Wool Tops for hair, and two Joggle Eyes.

4. Use a pen/marker to draw on facial features. Glue the decorated Poly Ball to the top of the paper covered cardboard tube.

5. Add features such as glasses made from wire, a paper or material scarf, a belt, etc.

Activity Extension
Cardboard Tubes come in 4 different diameters, use this activity to create a family of dolls when the focus in on My Family.
Book characters might be recreated using this technique in library sessions.
