In conjunction with their intergrated unit Marine Life, year 3 explored the characteristics of puffer fish and their habitat. They then constructed their own 3D puffer fish, exploring modelling techniques using paper clay. This activity was combined with a literacy investigation in which an appropriate name was bestowed on the students fish.

Materials
Paper clay, screws, Supertac, acrylic paint, glass pebbles. polystyrene balls and fishing line.
