The Years Three and Four children at Waverley Meadows Primary School have been studying 'Birds' during Visual Arts Lessons.
They have eagerly embraced the challenge of creating birds of paradise puppets.
The heads were attached to dowel by creating a newspaper mould, which was then covered in Modroc (plaster bandages) and painted. The bodies were made from tyvek plastic and painted using cools colours.
Level Four
The Years Five and Six children spent time talking about "The Year of the Rooster" and its signifigance to the Chinese culture.
We learned the skill of decoupage and decorated the roosters with a wide range of materials.
