- This unit was based on the picture story book, The Seagull of Galata Tower-Zeynep.
- The book is available through Amazon and although expensive, is a fantastic teaching tool.
- The illustrations are fantastic for teaching tonal work and perspective. Prep and Year One illustrated the tower using crayon, Prockey Markers and ink.
- Year Two built up a collage trying to demonstrate the height of the tower in relation to the city around it.
- They concentrated on tonal work and shading.
- Year Two constructed the tower out of clay and used acrylic paint to colour it.
