Galata Tower Unit
How To: This unit was based on the picture story book, The Seagull of Galata Tower-Zeynep. The book is available through Amazon and although expensive, is a fantastic teaching tool. The illustrations are fantastic for teaching tonal work and perspective. Prep and Year One illustrated the tower using crayon, Prockey Markers and ink. Year Two built up a collage trying to demonstrate the height of the tower in relation to the city around it. They concentrated on tonal work and shading. Year Two constructed the tower out of clay and used acrylic paint to colour it.
