How To:

Collage

• Exploring line, shape and colour through the works of Kandinsky.
  
• The children observed recurring shapes. They glued a sheet of Tissue Paper to cover a vinyl mat.
• Using various types of papers, they then glued pre-cut and child- created shapes on to the background.
  
• Their finished work was peeled off from the vinyl mat and mounted.
  

Painted Kandinsky

• Before introducing Kandinsky, children covered a plain sheet of paper in a primary colour wash.
  
• The children studied a variety of Kandinsky paintings and then divided them into two groups.
  
• They studied the line work and decided to have a go at recreating the less geometric works, using black paint and varied sized brushes.
