How To:
Collage
- Exploring line, shape and colour through the works of Kandinsky.
- The children observed recurring shapes. They glued a sheet of Tissue Paper to cover a vinyl mat.
- Using various types of papers, they then glued pre-cut and child- created shapes on to the background.
- Their finished work was peeled off from the vinyl mat and mounted.
Painted Kandinsky
- Before introducing Kandinsky, children covered a plain sheet of paper in a primary colour wash.
- The children studied a variety of Kandinsky paintings and then divided them into two groups.
- They studied the line work and decided to have a go at recreating the less geometric works, using black paint and varied sized brushes.
