How To:
- Students designed and created a piece of jewellery inspired by an art work from their text book.
- They were encouraged to select a landscape painting.
- Students looked at various art posters and identified the main elements of art and discussed how they could be used to create their jewellery designs.
- They were inspired by line, colour, texture, shape, pattern, form, tone, and themes in the artwork to base their designs on.
- Emphasis was placed on understanding and considering the art elements and principles of design.
- Materials used were tiger tail, glass beads, plastic beads, crimps, found objects, earring hooks, clasps, leather, hoops, chain, beading wire and memory wire.
