Bottle and Wire Sculpture

Design Brief:

This unit of work will develop your artistic eye for sculpture and experiment with the using a bottle as a starting point for a figure sculpture. In this activity, the starting point will be a plastic bottle which will represent the body of your resting figure. You will do a series of annotated design sketches of your resting figure, labeling the sketch to show where wire, tubes styrene foam balls etc represent limbs and head, and devising hands and feet. Remember you figure may be kneeling, sitting, lying or standing.

Design Brief:

Your design brief is to create a representation of Aboriginal Art which features X_RAY ANIMAL DRAWINGS and DOT PAINTING. You will be provided with samples of Aboriginal artwork which show the x-ray drawing technique and the dot painting. We will also look at the symbols Aborigines used in their artwork.
