• Study the silk paintings of the Keringke artists
• Get students to explore the use of line, shape, colour and the use of symmetry in the composition of the design.
• Techniques of batik had been a study recently in LOTE (Indonesian)
• Using oil pastel and tempera paint blocks a design was created with the knowledge gained from this study
