| How To:
These pictures were the result of a 'Making Marks' lesson based on a Zart Art workshop.
- The children created an ocean background by making marks with their pastel.
- Students practised dragging, rolling and creating jagged, wavy lines and experimenting with pastel.
- They then washed their work with vegetable dye.
- The same principles applied to creating a sea creature, once again experimenting with pastels and making marks.
- The work was washed with vegetable dye, cut out and pasted on their ocean background.
