How To:

• The students had to create a teapot and a matching tea set
• They could use any hand building method that has been taught in class, i.e. slab construction, Pinch pot method, moulds, drape or press moulds
• Some of the students chose animals, for example a hippo teapot with a mug in the shape of a hippo's foot
• The students used school quality terracotta or white clay or a combination of both
• They then glazed them using under glazes and then a clear gloss over glaze
• The teapots and sets were bisque fired and then glaze fired at 1080 degrees
