How To:

  • This project linked the concept of line in Art and its relationship to movement
  • In this case the portrayal of movement of the human body through Art
  • The project was initiated in response to an intergrated classroom unit concerned with the human body
  • The artwork was developed through observation of a fire twirling demonstration and the personal experience of skipping
  • The students also reflected on the characteristics of line expressing movement in art works and in photographs of sports people
  • The students explored what they were learning through various media and techniques to build up to the final project
