Materials:

Cardboard Human Mannikins, Chromacryl Paint, Masking Tape 18mm, Foam Roller, Cover Paper 51 x 76cm, Multi Paper 51 x 76cm, EC Indian Ink, Chinese Brush Pens, Metallic Tissue Paper Gold, PVA, Cover Paper 51 x 76cm Black, Zart Supermix, Oil Pastels Assorted & Cover Paper 38 x 51cm Assorted

How to Create Cardboard Mannikin Prints:

1. Use tape to join the cardboard pieces of the Cardboard Human Mannikin, into a figure in action of running, jumping, swimming or throwing for example.
2. Roll paint over the entire surface of the Cardboard Human Mannikin and press a sheet of paper over the wet shape. Peel off the sheet of paper to reveal the print.
3. Repeat printing this figure but change the action to create a series of prints that will show the motion of a body in action.
4. Decorate the printed figure in action with symbols or designs symbolic of Chinese culture.
5. Create a background on Cover Paper or Metallic Tissue Paper that will help identify where and what the figure is doing.
6. Cut out the printed figure and mount it on the prepared background.

Dreamer Step: Exhibit
A series of prints might be displayed in the school gymnasium, along a long wall to show a figure in motion. What would be needed to add to the prints to show the audience what event this figure is competing in? How might the audience know which country this athlete is competing for? What design might you decorate a figure that is representing your country of origin?
