Mother's Day Activity

Wall Hanger "What I Like Doing With Mum"

Create a wall hanger by decorating a number of heart shapes with things you love doing with your mum.

Materials:

Kinder Squares Matt 254 mm
Craft Aluminium Wire
Yoken Marker
Mosaic Squares
Creative Bead Box Assorted
Supertac
Satin Ribbon 3 mm

Method:

  1. Choose 5 Kinder Squares in different colours and place one on top of the other.
  2. Draw a large heart shape on the top one and cut the shape out holding the 5 sheets together. This will give you 5 large hearts in different colours.
  3. Hold another 5 sheets of Kinder Squares together and draw a smaller heart shape on the top sheet. Cut out the shape holding the 5 sheets together. This will give you 5 small hearts in different colours.
  4. On one of the smaller heart shapes write the words I love...
  5. On each of the other smaller heart shapes write an activity you love doing with your mum.
  6. Glue one of the smaller hearts on to one of the larger hearts decorating around the border with beads or mosaic squares. Repeat this step with all the hearts.
  7. Join the hearts together on one long length of Satin Ribbon. Begin with the heart with I Love....
  8. Decorate this first heart with Craft Aluminium Wire formed into a heart shape.
  9. Glue on a loop of Satin Ribbon to form a hanger for the wall hanging.
