  • box board  - Use  a steel ruler and cutting blade if you require a particular size
  • Pre-cut  Box Board Chassis  available 10 x 17cm  as well as Pre cut A4 sheets .
  • Use PVA glue to adhere the paper to the box board
  • Double sided tape is also handy for fixing any odd fabrics or thicker papers to the box board
  • Roll PVA glue on to the piece of box board
  • Place box board on to the paper you have chosen for this project.
  • Leave about a 10 cm edge around the paper

How to join your water colour or cover card to the box board cover:

Next step will be to make the inside of the book – you will need the type of paper, colour etc. you wish to work with – the pages can be joined in a variety of ways
Concertina - You will require a Bone Folder or metal ruler to ensure your pages are folded evenly and flat.
To fit the pages to the box board cover make the pages at least .5 of one millimetre shorter than the cover
Use PVA to adhere paper to the inside cover of the box board cover – leave to dry .

Random Pages - You may have collected some interesting papers or tickets, receipts etc. An easy way to attach them together is with a hole punch.
Ribbon can be used to tie them together.
Cloth Tape is another way to bind box board covers to papers – this will also give the look of a book binding finish.

Kraft Card - Cut off a strip of Brown Kraft Card – use a Bone Scorer or ruler to score the card approximately 10 -12 cm apart

Decorate the pages using text, photos, drawings and precious objects

Extra papers, card etc. can be added to the front page to create a decorative cover.
