1. Knot one end of a Stocking Piece and fill the length with Polyester Filling. Shape the piece to create a narrow end. Knot the end to secure the filling and use this end knot as the feelers of the dragonfly.
2. Wind Metallic Yarn around the filled stocking to create the head, body and tail segments.
3. Paint lines of colour around the stocking body and set aside to dry.
4. Draw the lines of a dragonfly's wings on a block of Soft Cut. Carve the lines with a lino tool and ink up the block with Shimmer Paint.
5. Print the design repeatedly to completely cover a piece of Pongee Silk approximately A4 size. Set aside to dry.
6. Model two bulbous eyes using Paper Magiclay and when dry paint with Shimmer Paint.
7. Bend two lengths of Craft Aluminium Wire to form two wings and glue these on to two pieces of printed fabric. Trim off the excess fabric around the wire.
8. Cut lengths of Craft Aluminium Wire and bind with wire to create six legs. Glue these to the undercarriage of the insect body.
9. Glue the wings on to the top of the insect body and glue the eyes on to the head.
