Designs need to be positioned so that the ribs run horizontally through the design. Once you have your design (template), fold it in half and position it onto the Honeycomb Paper. Cut then open it out to see your 3D design cones.

Suitable for:

Primary levels

Materials:

Polycone 20cm, Rice paper or Tissue Paper, Creative Soft Wire, Florist Wire, Polystars 50mm, Foilboard Stars 60mm, Wallpaper Paste, Bugle Beads, Glass Enamel, Fineline Pen, Tinsel Stem Pearl, Honeycomb Paper & Scissors

How to Make a Table Centrepiece for Christmas:

1. Use Wallpaper Paste to glue torn pieces of Rice or Tissue Paper on to a 20 cm Polycone, or glue one piece of Rice Paper wrapped around the cone to completely cover it.

2. Cover a 50 mm Polystar with small torn pieces of Rice Paper.

3. Paint another Polystar with Glass Enamel in bright colours.

4. Decorate a Foilboard Star with lines and pattern using a Fineline Pen.

5. Form a small star with a Pearl Tinsel Stem.

6. Use a small length of Florist Wire or Creative Soft Wire to thread beads on to and form a star shape. Try using Bugle Beads or small Pearl Beads.

7. Create star shapes from Honeycomb Paper.

8. Attach each star made on to the end of a small length of Florist Wire and poke the other end of the wire into the top of the decorated cone.
